About Us

Open Doors Teaching is a tuition, assessment, consultancy and training service for children and adults with special educational needs (SEN). In addition to supporting school and home educated children, we also provide a service for schools, individuals and organisations who work with or care for people with additional learning needs.

As an independent service, we offer professional but reasonable costs for our SEN services. We are based in Bispham Village, near the heart of Blackpool.

We cater for children and adults who need a different style of support due to their specific learning needs. Technology, visual and tactile aids are always a part of each session.

Assessments can be arranged to diagnose and advise of Access Arrangements for SATs, GCSE or other national examinations. Diagnostic assessments can also be arranged to support the Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA) for Higher Education.

We also work closely  with Red Rose School, an 'Outstanding' Ofsted-registered specialist school. The school caters for children with Specific Learning Difficulties including an Autistic Spectrum Condition.
